Consider plastic gears for replacement. Vette magazine tech article says the bronze gears are a load on the motor, which is TINY.

the gears in the head light stop on resistance(thats why they strip so often) there is a adj. "bumper on the headlight open the hood and you'll see screw it you for a faster stop and it wont do that anymore and hopfully line up if not time for new gears[:@](atleast thats howI fixed mine)
