Default 94 c4 price

hello, my wife is looking at 94 c4 convertible. has 37000 miles and is in really good shape except original owner put tape on car where the top sits so not sure cost for removing and painting. owner is going to replace the top , missing the back window. had car checked out by mechanic he said looks very good. drivers seat is worn but not ripped. what would you say is a fair price, kbb says 12400, edmunds says 11700. they were asking 14500 came down to 13500. any opinions would be helpful. thank you
ps. we are in buffalo ny

Welcome to the forum. The 2021 issue of Corvette Magazine's buyer guide lists the '94 roadster price range from $9,000 to $22,900. The low end price is for one that needs TLC and the high-end price is one that is show ready. One that is listed as good is listed at $16,000.

As far as the tape goes, if it is smoothly cut and looks like factory installed then it probably was. I don't know which years had it but I know some years had a factory installed die cut clear tape installed where the weather seal rested on the deck. This prevented the weather seal from bleeding color into the paint and also wearing through the paint.

Hope this isn't too late, not sure how I missed your post. I have a "94" convertible with 62000 miles. I was entertaining trading it this past fall (2020) on a 04 convertible commemorative with 12000 miles. This was before the prices went a bit nuts I was offered $12500 on a $23000 dollar car. Today that same model is selling for $30000. I would guess my trade went up a bit as well. ( i was the 2nd person looking at the car and missed the deal). *** far as the clear tape on the deck I bought some after market vinyl protector for mine to keep the scratches at bay, Are you sure it was tape? Mine just sits on the deck by static cling.
