Hello, I was looking for a spare ECM for my 93 LT1, part number 16159278. They are nowhere to be found. I did some research and found out the the Chevy part number was 16159278, but pontiac for the 93 year used part number 88999183 for the same ECM. They interchange but you will need to move your chip from your old ECM and move it to the new ECM. I just bought one from GM parts online for about 350.00 plus core charge. I know they can be rebuilt but I like knowing U can just switch out ECM’s while your old unit is being rebuilt/ repaired. Hope this helps someone out there with a 92 or 93 LT1.
