Default 95 corvette owners- Please read

I have just purchased a 1995 with 94,000 miles. I paid 12,000 for the car- Is that a fair price?

The car seems to run a little rough and the dealer said that happend when they washed the engine...they have replaced the plugs and wires since then but the car still has a little rough idle...I went back to the dealer and they said they will replace the cap and that should fix the rough idle!!

Anyone have any suggestions on what can make the idle rough? Can washing the engine cause a rough idle?

Thanks

Dean

Possible if water seeped into the Optispark distributor behind the water pump. [8D]

Thank you for the answer...will the water evaporate? How long should the evaporation take?

Thanks a lot

The 95 has a vented opti-spark, however, that's no guarantee that moisture won't be a problem. I'd try & get them to replace the opti & water pump while their in there. At least give it a shot!

I believe it is a fair price. I also just bought a 95 LT1 from an individual it had 98000 miles on it. It was garaged kept, its a real nice car and I paid 11,100 for it about 2 months ago.

It may or may not. You just have to wait & see. I would advise getting it changed before your warranty runs out.
