Additives/Cleaners
Has anyone out there had any experience with either BG44K injector cleaner or 104 Octane Boost? I have used the 44K in other vehicles in the past and with good results. Local Vette guru says it is not recommended for my 92 LT1. Same with the octane boost. Thanks!

RE: Additives/Cleaners
I have used 104 octane boost before, but it was in a 1970, 11:1 compression motor along with a lead additive, the LT-1 is 10.5:1. It worked fine in the older engine, but I had heard it could cause problems with late model engines, so I never tried it in my '92.

What's up, 104 is a boost not a cleaner. Running more oct. will not clean injectors, its only for 11to1 comp., advanced sparked or some other reason that 93 oct. isn't up to the task of keeping the motor from sparkknocking. have a good nite

RE: Additives/Cleaners
Just my opinion here but I never use anything other than SeaFoam inj. cleaner. My wifes Lumina is notorious for dirty injectors. We had to take it to the dealer twice to have them cleaned. Once on a hook. The second time I asked what they use to clean them and he said 50/50 seafoam and gas. I couldn't believe it. Since I've been using it I haven't had a problem with it yet. I had noisy lifters on a car and added it to the oil as recomended on the side of the can and I was amaised to hear the lifters quiet up after only a minute or two and to this day have remained quiet.
just my 1 cent worth.
