I just got a 84 vette with the bose tape player in it. I have a new cd player already. The guy I got it from said that I could not put in the new cd player or it would blow the speakers because they are 1 ohm speakers. Dose anyone know if this is true.

 

If you have a Bose stereo in the car now then the answer is yes... You will need to replace speakers. If it is not a Bose System then you should be fine.
