Default RE: wheels

First off, I think your 27" 's aren't quite the size I'm looking for. Sorry to break some hearts, but I don't think every corvette should remain in stock conditions, looks or style. This should be to the owners to decide what they want there car to look like and how it preformes, wherether they are 65 and retired or 20 and into outdoing the predominate ricer community that exist on the hi-ways today. Wheels are the big part of the picture of a parked car and tell a little about the owners taste/style. I would like something newer to match the new C-5 body conversion I have, but it's hard finding newer wheels or wheel period for 84-87 vettes because of there offset. Because of the reduced clearance from headers, new oil pan, new sideskirts, rear bumper and flamethrower kit, I want a slightly overall raised ride level but not so much sidewall. Still looking for some 18" 's+ or so.

skyler, just be careful that if you do buy adapters or spacers of some sort, that you follow the directions....ive seen adapters like that fail and cause wheels to come off...[:@]

do you have maybe a particular rim in mind that you want? wheel companies may often offer wheels that are not fully advertised due to lower demand

If you go with a wheel spacer do yourself a favor and DON'T go with one of the cheapo's sitting on the shelf at your local basic parts store. Go with Eibach or H&R spacers. They have a hub ring to keep the spacer centered and supported. Also be sure to get longer studs so you have the same mount of thread for the lugs.
