Default amplifier ground location ????

i have all rockford fosgate speakers & amp with a pioneer head unit . amp is mounted against back wall in hatch & for now its grounded to same placs as hatch release only like a 12 guage wire coming up to feed a ground to this location. i need atleast 4 guage wire for a ground. what would be a good location for a solid ground in the rear of car 1990 L-98 coupe .

Well, since there aren't any responses, I'll give my 2 cents...

For something that big, I would try to get down to the frame somewhere. I just got my 91 back today, so I'll try and peek underneath tomorrow to see if there is a decent place that already has a bolt. There is a small ground on the "wall" behind the passenger seat (at least on my convert) and a ground somewhere in with the abs gear under the cargo area, but nothing near big enough for that purpose, imo.

I would also consider upgrading the ground between the battery and frame. The monster ground off of the battery goes to the block, if I remember correctly. There is a small braided wire that grounds to the frame. If you are running something that needs a 4 gauge, I would look into this.
