Default black plugs and missing!!!!!!!!!

ok i have a 95 vette, it just started missing. when i first start it up it has a slight miss in it and it usually between rpms 1,000 to 1500 when driving and then the temp is around 200 or so it starts missing really bad, to the point were you cant even drive it. i pulled the plugs out and there black but look like the eclectrude or the point is fine like it clears itself out and then fouls out like a intermitent problem. also i took the fuel regulator vaccum hose off when it was running and there wasnt any difference in the way it was running so i dont know if it has a bad regulator or not but please someone shed some light

I recently had a similar problem. My 85 was missing after 3000rpm. I checked the plugs and they were all black. I replaced the plugs and took it to a shop and replaced a cam and that fixed it. I've heard chevys have problems with cams. they also replaced all of the lifters and the intake manifold and timing chain. It cost about 1100.

Sounds like it could be a weak ignition coil. Low spark voltage will cause the same symptoms.
Not that nosferatu226 is wrong, but I would start with the less expensive items before tearing the engine down. Did this start all at once? Did it come on gradually? do you have a check engine light? Are all the plugs black or only a few? Whens the last time you ran a good quality injector cleanerthrough your system. GM is notorious for having injector problems from dirt. I run a can of Seafoam at ever oil change through all my cars. A dealer mixes 50/50 Seafoam and gas to run through a cars system to clean dirty injuctors. At a cost of $200! You said you pulled the vacum sorce off the fuel regulator. Better to check the fuel pressre., You can get a gauge from any auto zone for under $30. I,ve found that if you have problems, and do not have a check engine light it's usually fuel related. Do some diognostics and post your results. I'm curiuos as to what you come up with.
