Bog and wont start when hot
My 89 has a problem! when ever the car gets hot (210F or so) and I turn it off and then if I go to drive it, even hours later or the next day, It has trouble starting and when it stars it struggles to stay started and when I go to drive it everytime I let off the gas or brake, the RPM drops rapidly ( down to about 400-500) and raises back up. But if I turn it off and then try to sart it again, it starts fine and runs fine. Any suggestions? The car has new injectors, plugs cap, and wires.

I'd have the computer checked out. I had an Olds that acted like that and when I replaced the computer it ran fine untilthe carabsolutely rusted apart. I take it there aren't any trouble codes as I assume you would have mentioned so if there were. Mech 259 will have the answer but we haven't heard from himfor the past few days. He's the GURU!.

No there were not any trouble codes. I hope its not the computer for the reason that I just took it to two shops in Dec. to get quotes for the injectors. One shop said the computer was bad but they wanted $3000 for the injectors and comp. And the other shop, who does nothing BUT corvettes, said the computer was fine and did the job for $1200.

Hey guys. A few things could be happening here. Try unplugging vacuum line on EGR valve. See if there is vacuum on the line when it is idleing. 2nd, could have MAF sensor problems, coolant sensor, vacuum leak. Does your car black smoke @ idle? Need to see some O2 readings. This kind of problem, as you can see, can be difficult to diagnose without scantool readings. I would check real close for vacuum leaks and see if EGR is remaining open when it shouldn't. Another thing to check is the throttle plates. Dirty throttle bore and plates will cause idle control problems. Good Luck. [8D]
