c-4 service
Hi, I recently purchesed 94 automatic with 103k miles. When hitting the throttle moderately hard from the line, the tranny struggles to shift from 1st to 2nd with the RPMs kicking up uncontrollably around 6K (slipping?).Kind of like punching itand throwing it into neutral (ie. Vrooooom!). Shifting is fine otherwise. I'm new to Vettes and was wondering where to take it for service. Should I take it to a place that specializes in Vettes, a Chevy dealer, transmission shoporGoodyear/Firestone. How might most places diagnose this problem other than driving it. Will they check it on the computer for codes? Any input would be appreaciated.PS. I['m in the Rochester, NY area if anyone has recomendations as well. Tks.

RE: c-4 service
94's have computer controlled shifting. Servicing might help, sounds like a valve sticking in the valve body ofthe transmission. All will be revealed when they drop the pan on the transmission and see if there is any metal, brass, or clutch material in the pan. [8D]
