Color
Hey guys, the next big project for my car, i believe, is going to be to PAINT IT!!! I was wondering, it is already black, but i was wanting to repaint it black and get rid of the scratches and everything and just have an all around nice paint job. But, recently, ive been intrigued with the "Midnight Blue"-ish color that is on the C4 Grand Sports or whatever they are called. I am eventually going to have black Z06 rims either with a polished or black lip and i was wondering what everyone thought would look better? Also, if anyone knows the correct name of that color, it would be much appreciated! Thanks!

RE: Color
I believe it is called Admiral Blue, this is my favorite color on a C4 right up there with black so this would be a tough choice if I had to choose between the two. My advice would be to not change the original color of your car, you already have a good color and color changes just cant be done right without a disasemble of your car and that would be quite costly and very involved. I almost bought a black 95 with black ZR1 wheels(with the polished lip) and it looked really tough. I just bought a set of chrome 18X9.5" Z06 wheels from corvettegarage.com for $599.00 including shipping so you might want to check them out.

RE: Color
I've been looking into a color I just saw on a '78 Vette. It's Black with Blue under-tones. When the light hits it, a dark blue shows up as high-lights. Saw a horse like that when I was a kid. He was so Black, he looked Blue where the sunlight reflected off his hair. I've also seen "ghost" flames with the same effect.

RE: Color
The color of the 96 Grand Sport is Admiral Blue, The C-5 Color is Electron Blue. The Admiral Blue has almost a Purpil Hue to it under certain light. I got rid of my 94 Admiral Blue to work on a 69 project. It was a real head turner. Plan on painting the 69 Electron Blue as I have never seen one painted that color. C-3 purist will call it blaphsomy, but it will look good
