Default Compression check with intake removed????

Any reason I can't or shouldn't do a compression check with intake manifold removed. Only thing I can think of is I will have to realign the distributer when I reassemble. I am trying to decide if I should have thee head rebuilt while I have the rest of the top end off. Everything looks good and I have no real reason to think there is a problem but It's not a lot more work.

I can't think of any reason that you couldn't do that. Maybe someone else can chime in here with other thoughts.

Can’t think of any reason why you couldn’t do it, you’re correct in the big thing is getting #1 cylinder to TDC and reinstalling the distributor in the correct firing order
