RE: drag racing
I was going to do it for the first time but competition backed out so nope. I have watched it alot and tempted to go out but the best car I have seen so far was a 6 cylinder mustang and he ran mid tens. Depending on your year it will vary. My 86 will be around 9s in the 1/8 14/15 seconds in the 1/4....Just depends on the mods you got...

RE: drag racing
I do not mind modifying anything IF is is going to actually give an improvement (motorwise, suspension, etc), but I am reluctant to drill or cut holes in the interior. Been there, done that and I always spent money to replace those expensive parts later to give me that new car look.
I know the attitude you are speaking of though. If the factory did not do it - it can't be right or it was not made to be that way... LOL
