E-Brake cover falls off

E-Brake cover falls off
Hi guys and gals!
My '92 has a plastic cover on the E-brake handle that is driving me nuts. When setting or releasing the brake this cheesy plastic cover is likely to come completely off in my hand. That leaves my hand in contact with the bare metal and grease of the E-brake mechanism itself. Any ideas on how to solve this issue? Should it be screwed on somehow....or should it perhaps snap onto the mechanism?
I appreciate your input!

RE: E-Brake cover falls off
I think us three E brakes are right there by the drivers door. New models they are in the middle. I like it by the drivers door. Feels more at ease down there personally. I say just super glue that sucker back on there.

RE: E-Brake cover falls off
I have gotten "crazy glue" on my thumb and touched my other fingers. **** does NOT come off. Had to soak my hand in soapy water for 45 minutes to get it pliable. FYI, save yourself pain and put on gloves.
