Electronic flasher

I have a 96 C4, I want to replace the flasher under the dash, I can hear it with the key in, but I can't seem to find it without pulling the dash out. Any idea's?

From:

IIRC you'll have to remove the drivers side lower trim panel to access the relay retainer. Flasher shud be in that area.
