Default Exhaust System

Hey guys,

I was just wondering everyones thoughts on this exhaust system ? I found it while searching around last night. I am getting my car tuned at the end of January and I wanted to have full exhaust before I do. I figured it would be pointless to spend 300 bucks getting my car tuned and then go and mess it up by adding the exhaust later on. Plus, this system is only $500 at most and I think it still sounds good. I wont lose as much back pressure because it isnt a 3" system. I was thinking about getting the Straight Pipes with Magnaflow Mufflers. I really just dont have the money to be spending $1200 on a cat-back and then also get a tune. Let me know what you guys think?

Matt

looks pretty good to me....But then again.... I'm stupid. How did all that come out with the guy that messed your engine up? Did he make it right?

since it has that h-connection at the front, can you still put on x-pipe on it?

I believe they both function as a pressure equilizer so the X would not be needed. Although the X woulld probably flow better the H is used for the particular sound.

Yeah, i think George is right raisin. X-Pipes are not essential, but they are probably recommended. If i ever change my mind and decide to go with the X pipe, i gould probably take it to like Big Al's or something and have them cut it and weld an X pipe in there. I dont know if either of you looked or listened to the clip of how it should sound, but it will of course sound different than that video because of the Magnaflow mufflers. Now, im not usually a big fan of Mag's but i heard some clips on www.ls1sounds.com that altered my opinions a bit. Thanks for the replies guys.

And as for the guy getting my motor all straightened out. I havent talked to him since i last posted anything about him because i was getting nowhere and he wasnt doing anything except trying to charge me more money for stuff that should already be working. So, i ended up fixing some of the stuff myself and then went onto CorvetteForum.com (not this site, a different one) and asked those guys and they said i should talk to a guy named Jeff Creech about doing my tune. I talked to jeff and he said that i should bring my car to Raleigh and he can tune it for me. I am trying to get the exhaust and also put my 30# injectors back in before i get it tuned though. Anyway, thanks again guys!

Matt

TTT

Anyone else have any opinions on this? Maybe Mech or Lee Willis?
