Front Air Dam & Speed Bumps

Front Air Dam & Speed Bumps
Well Happy New Year,
The "Speed Bumps or Lumps" or whatever you call the hateful things are tough on the front spoiler on my 95. I'm replacing the center section as it has taken the worst beating and finally broken again. Any ideasout there other than replace and be more careful. They do have a tendency to lead a short and brutal life, in my case anyway.

Speed bumps are bad, not to mention Opossums, Racoons, cats and any other small aniimal that darts out in front of you in a vette. try to miss them but doesn't always work. After replacing mine twice I have been working on a customhinged replacement air dam that will stay down when driving but spring up out of the way when hit. cheers

RE: Front Air Dam & Speed Bumps
mine front spoiler hasnt been on since i got the car. my uncle, the PO knocked it off, and i dont have any of the hardware to put it back on, it doesnt even seem to fit correctly. and now its about an inch longer than the side spoilers since they have been scraped on so many things.
but you can lessen the blow by hitting the bumps at an angle. personally i worry about going into a rut on the road and high-centering. its happened more than once since the roads are so crappy around here after the drought.
