Default Harsh Ride

Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions on possibly improving the harsh ride conditions on my 92? Understand that a Vette does not ride as smoothly as other cars and don't have a problem with that. However, mine seems to ride extremely rough, even causing the cd player to skip on occasion. I do not know if the shocks are original. I would really appreciate any ideas/help.

I have experienced the same in my 95 vette. I've been told to expect the "roughness" because of the cars' stiff suspension. I have also noticed that its almost unbearable when you drive over a series of bumps. I guess the question would be is when would you know when you really have a suspension or shock problem?

Yea, i never realized how much the roads suck around here until i started driving a corvette. New tires help a lot too if you have worn ones on.

Yeah, my 94 is a daily driver and i drive through some, lets just say, neglected areas in the Hampton Roads area, and i cant listen to my cd player at all on my 30 minute drive to work. The only time i can listen to it, if i can stomach the skipping for long enough, is when i am driving around the beach. I was looking to get all new suspension until i realized that the new suspsension would more than likely be more stiff because i would get the autocross suspension and it would cause it to ride even more rough. So then i decided i should just send my CD player in to get rebuilt, but if you guys are all having the same problem, apparently it probably wont do much.
