Now this is kind of a funny story. I was driving to work one day and it was raining. Now, in my 94, on my dummy lights area, my Passive Keyless Entry light comes on by itself sometimes. When i bought the car it didnt come with keyless entry so i dont understand. But anyway, i was driving to work and i get about a block from my office building and my passive keyless entry light comes on and all of a sudden i hear this clicking noise. My hatch latch opened up and up goes my hatch WHILE IM DRIVING. It doesnt stop there, i open up my console to hit the button to see if maybe it is stuck (even though it still isnt supposed to open while the car is in gear) and its not stuck. So the clicking keeps going like its still tryin to open even though its already open. I pull into the parking lot and i stop my car and turn it off. The clicking is still going. I try and close it to see if thats the problem and then it just pops right back open. I finally get back in my car and have to start the engine again and then shut it off for the clicking to stop. I shut my hatch and havent had a problem since. I just dont understand what happened.

 

that is a tricky one.the hardest thing is a intermiting problem.well just hope it doesent happen to you again,......it must of bean those rough roads,... lol.

 

Your hatch opening is part of the keyless entry and for some reason, the module was wiggin out on you. Might be some trouble codes in the body control module if you have access to a scan tool to see what went down.
