Default Help -- ID Electrical/Vacuum control beneath plenum

In the process of replacing the fuel injectors on my base model, 1988 Corvette, I realized that there is a black electrical/vacuum device beneath the crosspiece at the front of the fuel rail (within blue area in pic). The passenger side (top of pic) seems to have places where one or possibly two hoses can attach but there is none there. 1) Can someone identify what this is and whether there is supposed to be anything attached on that side? FYI, the driver side has two wires that connect near the top and two very small tubes below the wires.
Also, there is a rubber 90 degree elbow on the bottom of the plenum near the front that also does not have anything attached. 2) Can anyone help explain what this is supposed to connect to?

Your best bet would be to get a factory service manual as it should have electrical and vacuum diagrams.

73Shark, Appreciate your comment. That was actually the first thing I did, but could not find it shown in any of the diagrams though it might have helped if I had known what it is called. I think I finally figured it out though.

A copy of the Assembly Manual might show the name but unlikely as the engine doesn't usually show component parts.
