Default RE: starting problem

When you turn the key to start it, does the security light flash? If so, the VATS is enabled. There are several places that sell a bypass resistor with instructions on how to install it, but you will need the proper number one. Go to www.ecklers.com and do a little research on it.

Default RE: starting problem

with the key on the sercurity light, flashes, before i change the key cylinder, when i turn the key off light in the dash would stay on, and the only thing i could do is remove the battery cable, to kill the current, since the change of cylinder, lights in the dash are normal, i was also told to try, leaving the key on for half a hour, then turn it off and repeat again,i did that yesterday, this morning she rolled over big time,, so now im thinking the fuel pump, this forum has help me i now feel like it just a matter of time not just money thanks all p/s the ecklers.com was something elst not related to car ,

Did you put a multimeter on the starter input?
Did you check for power input to the starter yet?

If it don't crank, there's not much reason to do anythingelse, til you see if the starter's gettin' power.
