Default L98, No spark?

Ok so it's in a Camaro, any thoughts? switched out the coil, no luck, no spark. new coil wire, no luck. 98,000 miles. I plan on picking up a complete new distributor this weak end. Oh well, the Vette still runs it's just blocked in! Thanks!

Try the ignition module. My Camaro did the same thing and I started doing what you are doing and a machanic friend of mine said check the module. Guess what?

When you switched the coil, did you check the Ignition module? it's in the distributor. it sets in white lithium grease and some times the grease dries out or the module just goes bad. it's relatively cheep, too. Does your dash come on, or any other circuits when you turn the key? can you hear the fuel pump? Fire, fuel and air. What year is the engine? my '87 has the coil mounted in the top of the distributor cap.

I agree on the ignition module, it's the most likely, and cheeper than a whole new distributor.

Too Late!, Swapped the distributor, and it started, but only when it was being jumped by my truck. After the battery is charged and the cables removed it will crank but not start. No spark. 40# fuel pressure. I'm thinking it's a bad ground maybe?Or battery cables? Thanks for the responses, I was just drawing a blank on this one. Thanks again.
