I replaced the battery in the key fob & reprogramed, it had not had a battery in years. Everything worked great. Doors locked , alarm set, horn beeped good shape. TWICE! Now horn will not beep to signal that the alarm has been set. If you open the door thur the window with the alarm set it will not sound. You can hear a clicking in the dash as if the alarm has been set off but no horn. The horn will not even blow if you push the buttons on the steering wheel. I checked the fuse good shape?

 

I also have this same problem but its not from replacing battery in key fob.(I dont have the key fob)i have bin looking for three months and nothing helps my coeds show a short or high voltage in steering colum and I think its somthing to do whith vats system maybee key chip. If you find it let me know I am real intersted. good luck
