Im looking at a 1987 vette black and silver interior. It has 157,000 miles, It has been sitting outside in the sun since 2001. The 4 speed transmission has trouble going into 4th(it is a 4 speed automatic) interior needs to be redone and needs a nice paint job. do you think it would be worth the time and money? Im thinking of offering no more then 3 gees.

 

Sounds like a good project car for $3K...I say go for it.

 

yeah, for 3000, it would definately be worth the trouble... mine is a 94 and it had quite a few problems but low miles and interior/extrior were in pretty ok condition and after the interest on the loan and everything, im going to end up paying around 13 for it and i think it was well worth all of the problems and everything. so i say good luck and enjoy the time spent with it. they really are an american tradition
