I am missing a sensors on my vette. It is on passenger side near the distributor . It screws into a tube that attaches to the passenger exhast manifold, the other end looks like it is attached into the manifold. Is this an o2 sensor... or something to do with the A.I.R.???


All I have is a green wire near the threaded hole on the passenger side, the threads look good.

I do not know what codes as of yet that are flagging.

 

i think that is the exhaust temp sensor. should screw into the EGR tube that has the heat foil on it. it plugs into a connector way behind the engine. a real PITA to get to without removing some components. i think it has one green wire coming out of it.

 

That temp sensor provides the ground for the EGR vacuum solenoid. When it reaches a prescribed temp, it provides the ground for the coil side of the relay. [8D]
