Default I'm an idiot

Here's an embarrassing story. I just got new Colorado plates for my vette and went to put them on and discovered that I had stuck the month and year stickers in the wrong places. It's supposed to be month on the left and year on the right. Well, they are reversed. Can't get them off once they are stuck on because they come apart in the corners either. Does anyone think I will get pulled over for this? Ok, let the laughing begin. I can take it.

I would man up and take my plates into wherever they handle vehicle registration and ask if you can get replacement tags for free (showing them your handy work of course, so they don't think your scamming). It happens to the best of us.

I am sure its not that uncommon of a sight for the police to see that. Your not an idiot, just human. Now less beer before you start a procedure like that and it probably won't happen again.

All good advice. Something I learned when I was a kid is that you can remove them very carefully with a ridged back Razor blade and still retain the adhesive. Don't ask how I know this, I can't tell you, LOL,but it does work if you are very careful and slow and hold facet of the blade as parallel to the plate as possible..

Try a heat gun or hair dryer & see if you can remove them with fishing line or something similiar

Beingone of those "jerkwads", as Snow Wolf affectionately refers to the police, I agree with Eggster. DOT is quite understanding about such things. In our state, State Troopers usually carry spare stickers with them, too. As an aside to Snow Wolf, lots of REAL criminals are caught through traffic stops. And with an attitude like yours, it's no wonder you get more than your share of police contacts.

Can't be. This is the only one I use, except for Military.com, and that's very rarely.
