Possibly, if the door switchesare the pin-type, in the door jam, and it comes out of the jam when you open the door, THEN it could have a bezel-type screw on the jam that is loose, and it's allowing the back of the switch to remain in the 'open' position.

You understand that? Cause I don't know if I do or not!!![&:]

Hey Porkyyyy, I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're talking about. Do you mean you took the dimmer for the interior lights apart, adjusted it, and put it back together?

Ok ,I'm with ya now.

Hey cwb, I'mgoing to throwsomething atcha to think about....is there suppose to bea timer delay somewhere for the courtesy lights? I didn't see one on thewiring diagramyou posted. The courtesy lights in mine delay about 45 seconds after I close the door before the courtesy lightsshut off. What info I could find on the subject, on my 85 anyway, is the timer delay is located behind the information center. It may be in a different location on the 93, if it even has one. Do you think it's possible, the timer, if there is one, could be stuck?

I'm clueless on the h/l dimmer switch adjustment...[&:]

Yeah, a mis-functioning timer could be at fault. I don't know how they work tho', except they're supposed toturn off after a minute or so...

Does the dimmer switch turn the instrument lights down low?

The dimmer switch dims the headlights when you pull up on the turnsignal awitch . When the vette gets old the headlight dimmer switch gets worn and pulling up on the turnsignal handel nolonger clicks and dims the headlights. This can be repaired bu loosing the dimmer switch which is a slide switch bolted on to the collum . has 2 5/16 screws that hold it to the colum .One is a screw a,the other is a nut . This switch is operated by a rod that goes up to the turn signal lever.this can be adjusted by loosing the switch and sliding it up toward the steering wheel . I had to take the driver seat out and lay down in the floor . Got it .good as new .
