The dimmer switch dims the headlights when you pull up on the turnsignal awitch . When the vette gets old the headlight dimmer switch gets worn and pulling up on the turnsignal handel nolonger clicks and dims the headlights. This can be repaired bu loosing the dimmer switch which is a slide switch bolted on to the collum . has 2 5/16 screws that hold it to the colum .One is a screw a,the other is a nut . This switch is operated by a rod that goes up to the turn signal lever.this can be adjusted by loosing the switch and sliding it up toward the steering wheel . I had to take the driver seat out and lay down in the floor . Got it .good as new .
Ok, we got that part, now what about the inside lights not going off. Are you still having trouble with them?

My darkness is illuminated.

My high-beam - low-beam is a tight pull too.

I thought you were referrin' to the interior light dimmer control at the headlight on/off.

I'm slow sometimes (or sleepin'). (that's self-bashin' snow; try to not get offended again there).
