Default Clunking sound

I have a clunking sound coming from back of car when going over rough surface. Got under car and checked everthing. seems tight. could it be a bad shock? It clunks as suspension moves up and down. 60,000 miles on car. original bilstien shocks. Z51 suspension. Thanks for any info Dave

Sometime the nuts on top of the rear shocks can work loose check those first before you dig any deeper. When I replaced my shocks the rear tops were just a little more than finger tight.
