Default looking for rubber ends for Crossfire air cleaner assembly

Therubber ends that are glued to theinlet of the Crossfire air cleaner assembly(bottom section ) are dried out, cracked and falling apart on my 84 coupe. Has anyone ever replaced them and if so, where did you purchase another set. I have checked the internet Corvette shops and do not see anything listed. Thanks.

Default RE: looking for foam ends for Crossfire air cleaner assembly

On my first vette an 84 model, had the crossfire injection, nothing but problems with it, and it was slow as death, just screwing around got blown away by a stock vtech honda, had just started dating a smoking hot blonde, thoughtI wouldimpress her, she said, "Oh myGod, this is aCorvette and you just got beat by a honda," I waspissed after that, so I snatched off the crossfire intake, bolted on an Edelbrock Performer intake with a 650 Edelbrock Carb, snatched out the stock distributor and replaced it with a vacuum advance distributor, ripped out all of the worthless smog crap, mounted a fuel pump regulator set at 6 pounds of pressure and the car went from dumping the clutch and barely barking first to smoking the rears through second gear and barking them in third and hauling pure @$$, it honestly felt like a 50 horsepower increase, I was the happiest man alive when I first drove it after about a 2 hour change over, best money I had ever spent. and gas mileage was still good,I know, this has nothing to do with your post, but, just wanted to throw it at cha just in case you ever wanted lots more power out of that motor.[sm=icon_rock.gif][sm=icon_rock.gif]

thats good to know. I just finished unhooking the rest of the smog air and will probably leave the rest as is for now. Am changing out the seats and rugs right now and will leave the motor alone for now. I have been thinking about making changes to give her more go but will more than likely wait until its time for a motor rebuild. She has 75,000 miles on her so I'm hoping I can get a couple more miles out her. She may not be the fastest around, but damn she sure is a looker. Thanks for the info. Good to know.
