my brother has a 93 black on black vette, had for 6 years. he drives everywhere. foot of snow, 1' of ice, New York City traffic at rush hour. only major issue is a heater core and the typical oil spot. thank god for Mobile One his oil changes are measured with the oil pressure gauge. it doesn't smoke or rattle, the tires might be balder than his head but she holds the road at his typical speed-85-. my opinion drive it every chance you can, life is too short to cry over chipped paint or high miles.

You won't be driving a C4 with more than a couple of inches of snow on the streets You will just go along "plowing" the snow with the front chin spoilers. C5's don't fare much better.

yes your right, the car does move badly mostly side ways, but when you only have 1 car and have a 'i take that chance ' mind set he does stupid things like gambling in bad weather.i seen him do itand i don't believe its a good policy

Hi James, and everyone else. I haven't been on much but I'd like to say I'm 100% with starship on this. I have a 96 Lt-1 with about 94k miles. I'm only 18 years old, so you better believe I drive it every day, and have driven it every day since I got it in mid March. I don't know near as much as most the members here, but from driving my vette I believe the Lt-1 will last as long or longer than any other engine. I may suggest changing the dash to where you cant see the odometer if you're worried about the miles. I go about 250 miles home from college every few weeks or so and don't think much of it. I only have the trip meter on

Also Lees I really enjoyed that video

I assume by your username handle that you are about 26 (81=1981?). I am 25 and I just got a quote from my insurance that they could cover a 2008 Nissan Titan (the truck I just bought) and a 1992 Corvette (I was looking at a 92 acouple of weeks ago)full coverage for about $1300/year. Albeit, I do have a perfect driving record (knock on wood).

What you can do:

Keep your Nissan and drive it most of the time. It'spaid for, right? Also, you can put a yearly mileage limit on your Corvette (your insurance can do that to knock the rate down some). You don't have to drive the Corvette EVERYDAY. Drive iton the weekends or to work maybe1 day a week.

I am shopping around for an LT1 Corvette assecond driver/weekend car. I would also use it on long trips to save on gas, and maybe about 2-3 days a week. I test drove a '94 the other day and got about 24-26mpg according to theelectronic displaygoing 60 mph.

Anyway, good luck.
