im looking at buying an 86 vette and i was thinking of buying an ls-1 motor to build and swap into it, can it be done fairly easily? if not what motor do you suggest?

 

can it be done?? yes. but you need a deep wallet, a lot of spare time, and some really good fabbing skills...definately not fairly easily.

go out and find you a good crate motor. there are a ton to choose from, all varying in hp and of course price. or pick and choose your parts and build it from the ground up. you can easily make more power than an LS1 without all the hassle.
