Default New Car... start mods need advice

I am recently getting a 96 corvette 6spd Lt1. I first wanted an exhaust that sounds nice, not to loud thogh. Can someone reccomend one for me. After that maybe some performance upgrade anything that is preferably low maintenance and relativly inexpensive. thanks for your help

Borla makes a good system. I have a catback system on my 86 and it sounds good. [8D]

I just purchased a set of muffler eliminators from corvette central, had them for about a week and was going to send them back because i was afraid it would be too loud, and sound like crap, i had a free afternoon and decided what the heck and put them on, i think they sound great, nice rumble, and sound awesome when you get on it. They only cost $150 and i doubt i would be more pleased with an $800 system by borla or flowmaster....just my two cents

I WILL LET YOU KNOW TOMORROW (THURSDAY THE 2ND) I LIVE IN PA AND WE HAVE BEEN GETTING ALOT OF RAIN. ITS SUPPOSED TO CLEAR UP TONIGHT, SO I WILL DRIVE THE VETTE TO WORK ON THURSDAY. I JUST INSTALLED A COLD AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM LAST NIGHT SO I AM CURRIOUS WHAT DIFFERENCE IF ANY IT MAKES ALSO. I have a feeling that they will sound fine since at cruising speed im only turning about 1500 rpm. i will check in tomorrow

Well here is the scoop, at highway speed i am pushing 2000 rpm at 75 mph and there is no anyoing drone, you can hear them but i think thats the point, they sound great when you drop gears and get on it, i am very pleased with them.

Flow Master Series 50

Makes it sound like a muscle car.
Borla makes a weird European car whining sound, like your a wanna be Ferrari.

Just my Female opinion.
