I am looking to buy a dual exhaust for my 84 vette but was wondering how do you stop the check engine light from coming on because there wont be a cat anymore?

 

TPIS Chaska MN has an excellent set of headers for your car. These install from the bottom and have clearance for the starter. I have ran both with the cat installed and without. I could not see any difference in performance and with the cat you support a cleaner environment. The biggest noticeable change was that without the cat installed the car developed an annoying drone exhaust noise. Quarter miles times were the same each way.
