Default new vette man

Hello, I am from North Carolina and I have a 1994 Corvette, just got it about two weeks ago. I want to change the mufflers to something alittle more deep and not soo loud you cant stand it in the car, I saw some magnaflows (sp) anyone heard of this and any opinions, and also, can you get rid of the cat converters, will this help or not.
Thanks
Dale

Hey,Dale, welcome aboard!! Regarding exhaust changes, may I humbly suggesta Borla cat-back system? I have the same on my '96.....not too loud at all and it does have a neat rumble that never gets old(at least for me,lol!!) It is a bit pricey at about $1000,but to me it was money wll spent.Let me know what you do,will ya?? God Bless...Joe.

Oh,regarding the cats...I'm not too sure that would be legal unless you can slap them back on for inspection.Of course I don't know laws in your state, but I'm pretty sure they would turn you away if you did that, but you never know.IF you removed them, well,it may cause a few problems, but then again,it's not an OBDII car like my '96.If anything, try things without them, but keep them handy just in case.Good luck to you,ok? As long as you enjoy your Vette like I do,all will be well!!!!

What up bro!? Nice to see ya here. Pretty new myself. I got a local mech to cut the cats off for $30.00 a piece. I had 3 of them. Sounds good. Legal where I'm at. Keep us posted.

P.S. Post a pic when you get the chance. Peace

Welcome dude.

You're about 70 miles up the road there. Been thru ahoskie there a few times. Original owner of my '94 was from ahoskie, or windsor. Bought it in Greenville.

Can't tell ya' much about the pipes; maybe save your mods cash for problems ya' find as you go through it....

Gotta go with Joe on this one. The Borla Cat-Back system is what I installed and it fits the
bill. Be careful you don't get the touring style mufflers, you want the Stinger type. Great system. Check AutoAnything online. Pretty good price when I got mine year ago. Good luck.

Thanks for the hello, I spend about as much time in G-vegas as I do in Ahoskie. My Daughter is a Junior at ECU. Do u know anyone who has a good reputation for painting vettes. Mine is polo green and the clear coat is comming off. I am going to have to get it repainted, my wife wants red, and I would like to have all the rubber seals replaced and the inside door panels replaced too. Any help?
Thanks
Dale
