You will be lucky if you can get that motor rebuilt for $2000. Are you going to have to pay the balance out of your own pocket?

Ahhh cool! Definetly the roller rockers. I don't know anything about cams. The LT4 Hotcam seems to be a popular choice.

I have looked for a set up close to that one but not sure what will work with the stock computer and what additional mods are necessary. I talked to summit and jeggs no one there has ansewer. Timing gear set whats the deal on theese the only on I find that fits for sure is $500.00 why?? it does not look any different than a standard set? what is everyone using here????

bryanth; I wish I knew more about that motor and could be more help! There are timing sets for less than $500,get on the web and look. I know I've seen 'em,but can't remember where. I found out the same thing you did as I put together mine, anytime you mention LT1 the prices go up! The info is out there,it's a matter of finding it. I know that if I were to do this over I would look for an LS 2 or above. I thought at one time I would look for an LS7,I found a new one and it was only $27,000,lately I've seen 'em for as little as $10.000. But LS2's and 6's are out there for about what you're going to spend on the LT1. At where you're at that is probably no longer an option,so Good Luck! with the LT1 and if I see anything helpful,I'll try to bass it on.
Ron
