It took me 2 weeks but I finally got my rusted nuts off! ok, ok, no pun intended BUT... Now that the nuts are finally off of my seat rails (driver and passenger side) and the bolts are fully exposed, I've put in the new Power seat rails but I cannot find new nuts to fit. The nuts that I took off are basically destroyed. I have purchased 5/16th Hex nuts and they won't go on easily; I don't want to force them. Am I using the correct size nut? Secondly; these new seat rails are Power, my old ones were manual, I need to get these wired up so that they work; at least in the forward/reverse directions. How do I accomplish this?

I've had my 1985 Silver Greenwood Corvette since 1988, I will not get rid of it.

 

8 x 1.25 mm nuts. Metric!!
