I just bought a '95 that was missing any door keys. As that key is also used for other things (not to mention if the transmitter fails!) I thought it would be smart to get some replacements.

I assume the best way is my local Chevy dealer with VIN in hand?

 

You have to have proof of ownership or atleast I did**my dad had to go with me as titles in his name**.....and you have to have the code for that specific lock.....

 

Yep! I ended up going to a local Chevy Dealer (amazing - parts & service are open on a Saturday!) with the paperwork and the car itself.

$12 later and I left with 2 working door keys.

 

6 dollars a piece? No way! Thats one hell of a deal man!!!
