1995 Corvette Convertible

Got a problem with the security system.

Sunday nite I got a call from my neighbor my security alarm went off. It would cycle for 3 minutes then shut off for a while and start again on and on.

I shut off the alarm and bypassed the security system by using the
manual key to lock the car.

According to the manual the alarm should go off once then lock out the
ignition.

Not continually cycle.

Any ideas.

 

Do you have a sensor place inside the car, if so check the sensitivity, and put it to level 2 if its on 5, this might work

 

It was nothing that sophisticated the door ajar switch was not making continuous contact. By extending the contact tip by using a tie-wrap the contact was fixed and the alarm.
