Default Short throw shifter??

Considering installing a short throw shifter on my zf 6 speed. B&M ripper or Hurst Billit? Has anyone installed one of these?

B&M all the way. My friend has one on his old BMW. Mind you a piece of crap but theres a considerable shortening difference. Feels strange before and after. Its a bitch to install from what he said.

His beemer. He calls it a P.O.S. on a regular basis. The shifter is fine. Have you considered a clutch block also and a high performance clutch. Anything else in particular your looking for?

I have the Hurst in mine, love it. I tried a friends B&M and didnt like the shift pattern as such. Seemed like more distance between 2nd and 3rd vs. the Hurst. Either one is better than the Stock one for sure.

Thanks for info. Will prob go for Hurst since it is a little less expensive. Will change to better clutch when need dictates. Don't like to sound ignorant but what is a clutch block?

When you have to press your clutch all the way to the floor. A cluch block makes it so you dont have to go down as far for faster shifting. Mind you its mainly for racing but Id do it if I had a stick....Stage 2 racing clutch, clutch block and a short throw shifter. No horsepower but it would be alot quicker shifts..... Basically I just like bragging rights.
