Hello all, I have a question about my sport seats. Neither of the lumbar controls work on either seat. I have looked at the controls under both seats and all the vacuum hoses are good and in place. Both the switches will toggle off but not on. I assume this is the way they are designed as they will let out the air only and do not actually actuate the system. The buttons are all intact and press down like they should. Anyone here want to give me an idea on troubleshooting these controls?

You have indicated that the buttons allow air to escape from your lumbar support bladders so I take it that your compressors are working. These systems are designed so that you operate the compressor to inflate the three part lumbar bladder. Then you press each round button in turn to deflate each of the upper, middle and lower bladder to your preferrred support level.

 

No I meant that the control is to allow the air to escape IF the buttons worked. They dont on either one.

 

If your power seats function, your PWR ACCY circuit breaker is OK. I would then look for a loose or dirty ground or an open circuit such as a pinched or broken wire or poorly mated connector.

Are you sure the bladders are functional. This seems to be the first thing to go on these seats.
