Default STEREO SYSTEM, NEED ADVISE

I have a chance to buy a good used Clarion DRB5176 aftermarket CD Stereo with 6 speakers (2-45 watt, 2-100 watt & 2-150 watt) and Coustic Power Logic Amplifier with wires, that came out of a 1986 Corvette. I have a 89 vette. Is it a bad idea to buy a used stereo? Is the Clarion a good system to use?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rocky

I dont like used things because you never know when there going to go out. Is it really worth spending the cash on something tht might go out when you could stretch a little further and get a warranty AND exactly what you want. Its up to you but i say nay on the used system. JMO but im sure others will say go for it......so its a toss up.

Saying its used can mean so many different things. If it was lightly used then it may be a good system. Im not sure about clarion head units, i have some speakers by them in my truck and they are very clear. personally, i was willing to stick anything in my vette that had a cd player, since my radio was fading and the cassette deck didnt work. I have an old rockford fosgate head and some nice audiobahn speakers and am very happy. The vette interior is so small, and the rear speakers bounce off the glass/shade/targa top that a good sound is very easily created.
