Temp sensors/sending units
Where are these located on an LT1 engine?(assuming it's the same for all LT1s from '92-'96). I know one is located on the water pump, a screw in type. It was tested and is working properly.
I need to find the other(s) because my gauges are still having trouble. The needle temp gauge shows I'm overheating big time, but the digital one seems normal. I don't think an air bubble in the cooling system could do this.
BTW, a few months back I posted about my problems with the opti/ignition/rough idling. All of that has been fixed with the following replacements: Spark plugs and wires, new vented MSD Optispark distributor, new water pump, and all-weather wiring connectors. If I can fix this temp gauge issue, this thing will be 100%.

Hi Eggster
There is another temp sending unit on the LT1 between the 6&8 spark plugs on the right head. I think this is the temp Gage sending unit. I think the digital gage works from the ecm of the temp unit on the water pump and the sending unit between 6&8 spark plug would be the dial Gage. Hope this helps some.
