Default Thermostat housing

Hi Folks. I have a question regarding my '87 L98. Will a '92-'96 thermostat housing fit on the '87 L98. It looks relatively the same but perhaps there is something different other than the bleeder valve and the price. That valve is the reason I am asking. I would like to utilize that valve on my '87. The casting dimensions look identical, even the small hose stop on the neck. I guess my question is this...would there be any reason that the valved housing would not work on an earlier model? Cheers

I would at least try it out if the dimensions are all the same, check the internal area to make sure it will flow as well as the stock piece, I'm always looking for improvements and normally the reason the manufacturer did'nt include some small item was stricktly a money decision.

Very true. If your going to buy a sports car and pay top dollar for it, I expect top parts for it!
