Default torque converter engagement speed

Hey guy's I have an 89 conv. and I would like to upgrade my EMC to a higher converter engagement speed. I've been told you can download the proper data files to your computer and then to a diagnostic scanner. Do you know the websites from which I can obtain these files?

89 model computers do not have reflash capabilities. It has a PROM that has to changed out, and I don't think you can change the stall speed electronically. It has to be done by changing the converter. If your motor is stock, it really is a waste of time and money to go to a higher stall. It might give you some driveability problems. Your stock converter usually is around 1500 rpm stall.
