Default Water logged....

Hey fellas. I thought you'd like to see how well the stock Opti units store water. In April (5 months ago....) I had a coolant hose fail and it sprayed everything under the hood, including the opti. Today, I removed the cap to find a puddle still there. Here's the shot:

You'd think after 5 months it would have dried out. There was a lot of corrosion on the terminals. And here's the new MSD unit:

I'm anxious to have everything back together and running soon.....

Is this MSD new unit more sealed than the original
or are you subject to the same resolve?

Wow Eggster! What a nightmare!!!! Guess that's a case of $hit happens...

Hope you get her remedied and back on road to your satisfaction quickly.

(also thanks for a reminder to continue timely inspections of hoses/connections.)

Thats because of the vacuum that is created by not having two drain ports.
