Default Window motor quiestion

This window motor is from ecklers. Is it reliable and worth replacing the old factory one? No, I don't want to upgrade to the later styles. Just want to replace the motor. Also, going to work with a new ribbon as well.

Second. Headlight Bushings. I have searched Ecklers and they only sell them for88 and up. Will these fit? I have a powdery dust on one side and the headlight will go down but will not go up.

The window motor should be fine, I bought one three years ago, haven't had any problems with it.

As for the bushings,Are youtalking about bushings that theheadlight assembly pivots on?The ones you're looking atare delrin bushings. They goinside the gear housing assembly on 88 and up, they won't work on pre 88.

On the headlight that won't go up, do you hear any noise? If you do, the gears may be stripped, which is just a matter of replacing the gears. If you don't hear any noise, you probably have a bad headlight relay.

You ought to convert the ribbon type regulator to the gear and lever type that was used in late 86 and up. There are instructions somewhere in these forums about the conversion. I did mine and it works SO much better and faster.

Here's a thread with some explainations although no pics. Do a web search for it as I think the other Corvette forum might have some pics.

Thanks to you both. Do you have a price estimate for the whole assembly? I like the 50 dollar route myself but...

Ill fix the ribbon for now so the window will work and then do one side at a time. Do you know where I can get the whole assembly? Ecklers sells motors...which is what I saw but that is for the earlier models. While I am in there, I need to tight then the windows unless it is because the seals (inner/outer) are worn so bad.Always costing money.
