Default 2004 convertible antenna question

My antenna is stuck up, I can hear the motor but the antenna doesn't move. My research looks like it could be the mast, anyone have directions on this? Or experience? I have read, remove tails lights and also rear tire and splash guard.
Thanks in advance for some direction.

Usually this problem is caused by the end of the nylon cord that pushes the antenna up and pulls it down breaking at the motor. You can usually take apart the assembly and see if this is the problem. It could be repairable depending on where the break occurred.

Default Fix for your Antenna

It is your antenna mast. If you click on the site below and sift through the thread you will find a procedure to remove the mast and replace it. Very simple. I did it to mine. You should be able to buy a new mast on ebay for about $20. There are some really good information on this thread you may wan to save it for another project. Good luck.
