Question Active Handling Issue

First time Corvette owner (2004 C5 Commemorative coupe) and I have a nasty little issue with Active Handling. Basically, it will apply the front brake(s) occasionally at lower speeds... always seemingly when I'm driving in a straightaway. It's intermittent and never throws a code. The last time it happened I was able to disconnect Active Handling and the brakes released immediately. So, I've been driving it with the Active Handling disengaged.

I looked at a couple of postings on this problem that were posted several years ago with no solution posted solution and so I'm hoping that 'new blood' will be able to steer me in the right direction.

A shop went through wheel speed sensor connections and determined that they looked fine. SO..... any thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Skip

Welcome to the forum.
How can you tell that it is just the front brakes?

When it happens it usually pulls to the right, like it's only the right front brake.

Have you ever tried tapping the brake when it happens? Or does it not last long enuf to do that? You might have to have a dealer check for codes as I believe there are codes that most scanners can't see.

No, I haven't tried tapping the brakes but will give it a try next time. While it hasn't been to the dealer, I did have it to a very reputable shop and no, there were no codes displayed. They put one of those recorder scanners which monitors everything going on in the vehicle, then drove it some but of course it didn't act up then.
I appreciate your assistance!

Hopefully you can find the solution. Let us know how it turns out.

Well, I'm not sure it's actually fixed but it MIGHT be. I had it back to the shop to check the wiring connections to the Wheel Speed sensors, because I've read that sometimes this problem is caused by loose of dirty connectors. The shop did check everything and could find nothing wrong; however since that was done I've had no issues whatsoever with the active handling.
I guess only time will tell if it's actually fixed.
